If you’ve been on the fence watching an 85 senior moto at a recent District 16 race, you’ve likely seen the number 218 running up front. Logan’s taken a step up this spring and has his sights set on his maiden trip to Loretta Lynn’s.

How old are you? Where are you from? When did you start riding?

I'm 15 years old, from Larsen, Wisconsin. I started riding when I was 2 and a half on a TTR 50. I started racing when I was 4 years old on a ktm 50 JR.

What got you into the sport?

My dad’s buddy Travis Erdmann. He used to race. I started racing some local stuff then got into doing the bigger races.

What is your favorite track?

My favorite track is Pine Ridge Raceway and also Sugar Maple. I like Pine Ridge because it is sandy and gets super rough, but I also like Sugar Maple because it gets nice ruts and has some nice flowy jumps and some elevation. I also like Baja Acres, love me some sand. Too many fun tracks to mention!

How has the switch to Gas Gas been for you?

It's been great! I feel really comfortable on it and has improved my starts a lot which has made me stay up front with the fast kids.

You showed some strong speed at the Mid-East Area Qualifier at Wildcat Creek, what has helped you close that gap to the front?

I would say definitely making the switch from Yamaha to Gas Gas plays a big part. My starts have been a lot better which has lead to running the pace of the front group.

How do you feel headed into regionals this year?

I feel great, I feel like I can make it. I just have to keep getting good starts, and stay on two wheels, and I should be able to get the job done.

What are some things you want to improve upon this season?

Speed. I know I need to be faster so riding with Brody Barth, Jayce Wolf and other fast kids will help me. Also, when I race those two if they get a holeshot on me just try to keep them in sight, hit my marks and stay up front with them and learn from them.

What are your goals for 2024?

My main goal is to make it to Loretta’s this year. I gotta stay focused and healthy. Hopefully run a few more big races after Loretta’s.

When do you plan to hop onto the big bikes?

I want to be on a 125 before the end of the year, but not 100% sure when I will be on one.

Last but not least, who would you like to thank?

I would like to thank my mom and dad, Hank and Karens, CKDZ, OGs, Pro Action Suspension, CKCRETE LLC, Team 2, and Minor League Moto. Without any of these people, none of this would be possible.
